The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. has released the names of financial planners who have filed for personal bankruptcy within the last five years.
The information is provided by the board so the public can make informed decisions about advisors, the board said. The public can review an individual’s bankruptcy information and certification status with the CFP Board at www.CFP.net/search.
The information will remain on the CFP Board website for 10 years. The advisors, the municipality where they work and the date of the filing are:
