Smith is executive vice president, corporate secretary of AARP, where she oversees corporate governance and board relations and is a leader in investor protection and education.
Prior to joining AARP, Smith worked at an online brokerage, FOLIOfn, served as New Mexico’s Director of Securities, headed up the SEC’s Office of Investor Education and Assistance, and served on the staff of the House of Representatives’ Subcommittee on Telecommunications and Finance.
