Twenty CFP professionals have declared personal bankruptcy in the past five years, according to the Certified Financial Planning Board of Standards Inc.

The information about the financial planners will be displayed for 10 years on the profiles of the individuals that are available on the CFP Board website. No CFP Board disciplinary procedures are taken against CFP designees for one bankruptcy.

The CFPs who declared bankruptcy are Nicholas M. Argol, Kristin M. Kotsakis and Matthew M. Kunst, Chicago; Ursula S. Auger and Bruce M. Weinstein, West Palm Beach, Fla.; Scott R. Barlow, Tampa, Fla.; Alan H. Blecker, Newark, N.J.; Eric J. Checketts and Sandy Hatch, Salt Lake City; Diane Daniels, Brooklyn, N.Y.; Catherine A. Kipling, Butte, Mont.; James K. Ostrove and Ho Min Park, Los Angeles; David J. Palmer, Atlanta; Margaret Patrick, White Plains, N.Y.; Kevin J. Roberg, Phoenix; Robert M. Rose, St. Louis; Heather Sebastian and Denisa Tova, Denver, and Amy Winchester, New Orleans.
