“Moreover, regardless of the rule's fate, CFA Institute believes the industry should continue to correct its greatest weakness: low standards,” CFA Institute said. “We must draw more distinct lines between those that have the competence, training and ethical and fiduciary [standards] and those that want to claim advisor status without truly committing to being a professional.”
