A former Wells Fargo advisor who managed $174 million in client assets has joined Raymond James & Associates’ employee advisor channel in Vienna, Va., according to a news release.

Anothip “Thip” Zimmerman operates as Thip Zimmerman Wealth Advisory of Raymond James. She will align with RJA’s Chesapeake Complex, which serves a client base that includes a mix of business owners, executives, retirees, families and individuals, the release said.

Zimmerman, who had been with Wells Fargo since 2000, said she was immediately impressed by Raymond James’ quality and robustness of resources.

“Raymond James sets itself apart in the industry with its unique culture and distinct, flexible support structures for advisors,” she said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to leveraging the cutting-edge technology and other planning resources to further grow my own practice here at Raymond James.”

Zimmerman began her career with Prudential Securities in 1994, according to BrokerCheck. She moved to Merrill Lynch in 1995 and joined First Union in 1999 for a year before moving to Wells Fargo.
