Rockefeller Capital Management has hired a seven-member team in New York City who oversaw more than $2.5 billion in assets under management at St. Louis, Mo.-based Stifel Nicolaus & Co., according to a company spokeswoman.

“The Moldaver Lee Group represents a powerful addition to our elite group of Private Wealth Advisor teams, and we are very excited to have Ed Moldaver, Jimmy Lee and their team as part of our company and our business,’ the company said in a social media post. A company spokeswoman said there would be no additional information.

Moldaver has more than 30 years of experience advising and managing high-net-worth families, entrepreneurs, and middle-market business owners, according to Rockefeller's website. From 2012 to April, he and his team serviced clients at Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, Americas, and then Stifel through its acquisition of Barclays in 2015.

Lee has 20 years of experience delivering wealth management and financial advisory services to high-net-worth individuals, family offices, institutions, and non-profit organizations, the website said. He has worked alongside Moldaver since 2000.

The other team members who joined Rockefeller from Stifel are financial planner Michael Amato, trader J.P. Bartolomeo, team administrator Mary Bennett, senior relationship manager Mary Paterson and chief investment officer Scott Stewart, according to Rockefeller.

Rockefeller Capital, backed by hedge fund Viking Global Investors, was created in 2018 with about $18 billion under management. It is an offshoot of Rockefeller & Co.
