A 17-year Wells Fargo Advisors veteran has joined New York-based Summit Trail Advisors as a partner.

Michelle Rudd will open Summit Trail's new office in Seattle, where she will be based, according to a Tuesday news release.

Rudd previously managed more than $500 million in client assets as a senior vice president and wealth advisor for Wells Fargo.

Her practice focused on ultra-high-net-worth families in the Pacific Northwest with complex family governance issues. She also worked with successful executives, entrepreneurs, and business owners.

“UHNW clients demand sophisticated investments, innovative technology, full transparency with fees and terms, and most importantly, alignment of interests,” Rudd said in released comments. “Summit Trail Advisors is designed and dedicated to serving (their) unique needs.”

Summit Trail Advisors, a wealth management boutique affiliated with Dynasty Financial Partners, reported $5,5 billion in client assets under management (AUM) at the time of the announcement.
